	Leona Cheung (she/her) is a designer and educator based in Los Angeles. Previous work includes a range of print and digital projects from branding to websites. Her creative practice uses multisensory design to explore poetic questions about ecologies, such as how to bring humans and the natural world closer through approachable methods using scent or sound.
&#38;nbsp;
She has taught at LA City College, Cal State LA and Rutgers and graduated with a MFA in Design from Rutgers in 2023. Previous work includes print and digital projects such as branding, posters, email newsletters, graphics, icons, and websites. She has worked with organizations such as IEEE, AIGA Los Angeles, Type Thursday LA, Rutgers Mason Gross School of the Arts, the 2023 Rutger’s Biodesign Challenge Team, and the Zimmerli Art Museum.

	AIR Collaborativelogo, identity, website, art directionAIR Collaborative is an academic initiative to pursue creative space-making and multidisciplinary research, incorporating spatial justice, racial justice, environmental justice, and public health. We designed a visual identity and created a HTML/CSS website for the client, Anette Freytag, with mentorship from Jackie Thaw. The visual elements of dashed strokes, dotted lines, and yellow accent color are used to suggest the fact that progress is foremost a process.

A graduate project that explored a meaningful form of science communication by designing a speculative perfume with ant pheromone to romanticize a possible ant-to-human interaction. I found that one of the ways to connect on a deeper, physiological level with certain nonhuman species was through the senses that we have in common, smell being one of them.&#38;nbsp;
